New Video Game "Brink" Uses Tempest Freerunning Moves E-mail
Sunday, 14 March 2010 10:57

My teammates, Victor "Showtime" and Gabe "Jaywalker" of Team Tempest did motion capture for the new video game by Bethesda, Brink. It's a first person shooter that makes use of parkour and freerunning movements to navigate a futuristic cityscape. The game hasn't been released yet, but you can see a lot of parkour action in the cinematic trailer on youtube. Nice moves dudes! Plus it looks pretty fun to play!

I wonder how much parkour is incorporated in the game play. If the player has a lot of control over their character's parkour moves, it would be a very unique experience. Image combos for precisions, rolls, supermans, saut de chats, etc.

I like the apparent message in the trailer: in war, no one wins.

Meant to say "Imagine combos", not image combos...

except for the last guy who didn't do parkour. He won or at least looked like it. The game itself looks pretty bad ass though.

I don't play video games that often but I need that game! :woohoo:
