A few days ago I came across an amazing kids charity which has been shown to improve childrens access to education by providing deworming treatment. It's called, Deworm the World. Worms affect one in three people worldwide. Infections are a chronic disease among children in low-income countries and contribute to the perpetuation of poverty by impairing child health and development. But it turns out deworming is one of the most cost-effective solutions for increasing education.
In an effort to give back, when you purchase a SkyNative Parkour Bag, 50% of the proceeds go towards Deworm the World. That means for every sinlge bag purchased, a child effectively gains a year in school participation!
Check out the Deworm Fact Sheet Here to see the studies about it's effectiveness.
If you would rather just donate directly to the cause go Here.
This isn't the first time I've used these bags for good. Recently I put together some supply packages to give to various homeless people in Los Angeles during the rainy winter. I included things like a tarp, toilet paper, notebook and pens, toothbrush, toothpaste, some food, and even a christmas card.
Experiencing the happiness and appreciation from those we gave them to was truly a unique experience, and I recommend trying out a similar project yourself. Just imagine if you were in their shoes.
Thank you for your time. Go Here to check out the SkyNative Parkour Bags and help give back to the kids charity, Deworm the World.

This past weekend, we kicked off the first show in a three week tour called the "Power of 10 Event." Team Tempest makes up part of the 'dream team' who aim to entertain and inspire young people in high schools all around the southern California region. According to the website...
"This on-site program is a high-energy and high-volume assembly that brings celebrity performers to the stage who unleash the ten Power Principles you can use to create your most powerful life possible!" - Powerof10Event.com
Basically by encouraging 10 character traits like Integrity, Vision, Choices, and Health and Fitness, through our personal journeys in life, we hope to inspire young people to face their fears, have dreams, and work towards them, and generally live an engaged life! I can't say how excited I am to be part of this, and hopefully this three week tour is just the beginning of something really incredible.
Tempest members Rich King, Victor Lopez, Luci Romberg, Gabe Nunez, myself, and our friend Shane Daniels add an exciting freerunning performance into the mix, as well as our voices and stories.

The show is hosted by Jeremy Bates, "The Hope Dealer" who has done a ton of inspiring and, well, hope dealing and adds his musical flavorings.

Next is artist extraordinaire Blair Rusin, snowboarder, musician, and awesome painter. Over the course of each show he paints a sweet painting to give to the students and schools.

Last but not least, pro snowboarder, first person to backflip a snowmobile, base jumper and all around badass Jim Rippey who shares the lessons he's learned on overcoming fear.

Much more to come so stay tuned here on SkyNative.com as well as on the Power of 10 Event Facebook page, and the Power of 10 Event Blog!

The Backflips for Kids Fundraiser has officially ended. Thank you all so much for your support! I performed over 100 blackflips all over the country. It was a blast! It was also a great success, having raised $1,670.00 for the Jump Washington program. I recently visited Seattle and delivered the check to Tyson Cecka, director of Parkour Visions, personally. This should have a huge impact on the lives of many kids who will have the support of a parkour coach to teach them self-directed personal development though parkour and in life in general.
Big thanks also to Brandee who's heading up the Jump Washington program (and is also skilled at making giant wooden checks)
The form is still open for donations if you want to help out. All donations will go towards the Jump Washington program, however I won't be doing any more backflips.

The Backflips for Kids fundraiser is doing great and we're halfway to the goal. To inspire more people to donate, I created this new video of myself doing backflips just about everywhere; an orthodontics office, on top of a mountain, at a bar, in France and more! Check out the video then go here and make me do a backflip right now!

Make Levi do a Backflip to Help Disadvantaged Kids Overcome Obstacles with Parkour

UPDATE: The fundraiser has officially ended. It was a great success having raised $1,647.57 for these kids. In the next few months I'll visit Seattle and document the impact of this effort.
The form is still open for donations if you want to help out. All donations will go towards this endeavor, however I won't be doing any more backflips.
Thank you all so much for your support! I performed over 100 blackflips all over the country. It was a blast!
1. When you make a donation to help fund Parkour Visions project to help disadvantaged kids to learn parkour, a text message will immediately be sent to my cell phone saying;
"James O says Do a Backflip!"
2. Then, where ever I am at that moment, I will do a backflip!
3. Then I will tweet about what happened, kind of like this;
"James O made me do a backflip at the post office! The people in line loved it, but the postal workers gave me a nasty look"
Fine Print: Of course if I'm driving on the freeway, or asleep, or saving babies from a burning building or similar I wont be able to do a backflip at that moment, but I will do "catch-up" periods where I'll do all the one's I missed in a series. Also I really want to make a difference with this project, so I wont be doing backflips for just $1. But a donation of $4 is nice, $10 could deliver a parkour information packet and DVDs to a crises center in need, $30 can provide a set of balance and precision trainers for indoor training, $150 means you're a baller and will sponsor 15 kids in a low-income apartment complex for an intro parkour class! 100% of donations go towards this non-profit project.

More Information About this Project
Through parkour, at-risk youth in Washington will improve their self-esteem and fitness by learning to run, jump, climb, crawl, and vault over obstacles, transforming their everyday world into an epic playscape.

Project Needs and Beneficiaries
Thousands of young people in Washington are homeless or from very low-income families who consistently fall through the cracks of society without support from a positive community. Many are missing out on their potential in life by not having anything to develop a passion for or to build goals from. This project will affect more than 500 at-risk youth from the lowest-income housing in King County, crisis centers in Seattle, and public schools in Tacoma's poorest neighborhoods.
Activities
Our classes use parkour basics to teach young people how to creatively use the environment around them to improve and challenge themselves. Lessons encourage pride in achievement, respect for training grounds, and responsibility in facing fears.
Why this Project is Important
Potential Long Term Impact
If you have the creative ability to turn a simple set of railings into a playground, a gym, and a public stage then you have the potential for lifelong physical and mental fitness. This is what parkour can build when taught correctly.
Project Message
Unlike with many sports there’s no perfect body type, and no one has any better ranking than anyone else. It’s not about finding the best people, it’s about finding the best in people. - Daetan Huck, Student
