A few days ago I came across an amazing kids charity which has been shown to improve childrens access to education by providing deworming treatment. It's called, Deworm the World. Worms affect one in three people worldwide. Infections are a chronic disease among children in low-income countries and contribute to the perpetuation of poverty by impairing child health and development. This isn't the first time I've used these bags for good. Recently I put together some supply packages to give to various homeless people in Los Angeles during the rainy winter. I included things like a tarp, toilet paper, notebook and pens, toothbrush, toothpaste, some food, and even a christmas card.
